I had planned on writing a few more blog posts this month, but…life happens. Last month I let my son choose the color for February’s post , so it only seemed fair to let my daughter choose this month. I didn’t really even need to ask which color she wanted me to write about because she chooses pink for EVERYTHING! And since the D.C. Cherry Blossoms are starting to bloom, and we welcomed in Spring this month, I thought a pastel blush pink was an excellent choice.
Blush pink is such a great color because it can add a feminine touch without being too overwhelming. It’s easy on the eyes and calming on the senses, which makes it a really good color for a baby nursery or girl’s room. Very Well Mind states that “Pink is essentially a light red and is usually associated with love and romance.” While this is well known by most, it is important to remember what images and associations people will conjure up when you are choosing colors for your design project.
In any area of design, if you want to create or add a soft, soothing element, adding a touch of blush pink is fantastic way to achieve that. I hope you enjoy these shades of blushy pink color inspirations. Thanks for reading! XOXO
